It's been a while, I never should had left you...

Its been almost a year.  I really can't belive that.  Well some much has happen.  Good things, great things and no so good things, but over all GREAT things.

But moving right along, let's start from today. 

I am excited again about paper crafting.  After all it was my first love.  I love to say that I am cheating on paper with fabric.  I have delegated a weekend each month to start back doing papercraft.  My plan is to share my paper and fabric work with you here.

OH YES, I just started with periscope so hopefully I will be able to share some videos here.

Well that was fast...

I can not believe that in a couple of weeks it will be 2015. 


I learned a lot about myself this year.  If the me now was having a talk with the 19 year old me...
I would say, RELAX it all works out.  You're going to make mistakes, go through a lot of bad and good times (more good) but they're going to make you an awesome outstanding woman.

The me now, wouldn't change anything about my pass (nope not even that).  I am the strong, beautiful , God loving, intelligent, family loving, loyal friend that I am now because of my pass.

This year I will continue to put God first.
More family time (more one on one)
Plan my work -DPM
Exercise and eat better
More time in South Carolina
More time with friends 
More date nights with Don and weekend get away...

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Don (the hubby) and Devin (the son) put up the tree on Sunday.  We have had a live tree for the past 5 or 6 years.  As they put up and decorate the tree I baked cookies and prepared dinner.

One Day...

One day I am going to decorate my tree and house EARLY...  I am going to have a tree like this!!!

Every year Don and I plan to buy all these fabulous decorations when they go on sale after Christmas.  Well we never do!!! We have some great items but you can always glam up more when decor is 50%+ off.

I will let you know how things go this year.

A Wedding Love Story

I had the pleasure of designing a bow tie for this  awesome couple.  He was nice enough to send me a picture.  Once I saw the picture... I just had to know their love story.  He was happy  to share.

 
 Here's his love story...

My amazing wife and I met on St. Patrick's Day 2007. Shortly after we added a beautiful baby girl. We followed each other from Florida to Georgia, and now we reside in Texas, where we decided to tie the knot on May 30, 2014. It was a quick decision to get married right after I proposed as I could wait no longer for her to be my wife, and for us to embark on our next chapter in our journey through life together.

I know its been a long while. I am going to try to do better...try!!!  Well things are going great for DPM.  I may have some exciting news to share in about 6-8 months.  NO!!!!  Its not a baby.

Plan your Work and Work your Plan...

A question of all my self- employed, I own my own business / company, Mr. / Mrs. Entrepreneurs.... Hello out there... are you still there...there...there

Well I hope so.  January I was feeling some kind of way.  I had an aunt (that was just like a sister) that passed away.  It was a very sad time for me and my family.  She was a great person and I will truly miss her.

Friday I could feel myself coming out of my funk and starting to get my groove back.  Well I have put on my running stilettos and hit the business pavement wide out.  I am ready to make things happen.

I will post the first TMYS (Tell Me Your Story) on February 22.  Its going to be hot...

2012 was great... 2013 I am ready

Design Plus Me really grew in 2012.  We added more items to our line.  Neckties, Bowties, Suspenders for boys and men. Diaper covers and Bloomers...

We were on a web talk show, Talking Out Loud with A L Cooper.  We did a web show with On Beauty with Doc Waller.

I want to thank God for all his blessings and keeping us in His Favor.

Well, 2012 is quickly approaching an end.  I have planned my work and I am ready to work my plan.  I know that 2013 will be A W E S O M E!!!!

For the last kickoff... Zoe Dupree will be using some of Design Plus Me men bowties in a celebrity photo shoot on Saturday.  I will share photos once I can...

Carla Jenkins Photography will be using some of Design Plus Me baby wear in her photo shoots.  She will post pictures to my FaceBook page.

For my blog I am going to start doing a brief getting to know them.  Where I will interview an up and coming artist and share their work... Maybe every other week!!!??? Hmmmm just something I am thinking about... Who shall I interview first???

25th Class Reunion

Went to my 25th Class Reunion this pass weekend.  Everyone looked great!!! Can't believe how time flies.

Taping "On Beauty with Doc Waller" was a blast.

Had a blast taping On Beauty with Doc Waller yesterday.  Everyone was absolutely awesome and friendly.  Can't wait to see the show, I love the concept. ... telling the stories and passions of everyday people.

Side note:  Not sure why I am I have my hand on my hip.  He would be so serious then out of no where say or ask something that would have me die laughing. I think that was one of those moments.
